Clyde was rescued by a wonderful Good Samaritan named Bonnie on March 5, 2026, after he was reportedly being used for backyard cockfighting by a group of boys at a local elementary school.
Despite concerns being reported, no meaningful action was taken to protect Clyde. His story is a heartbreaking reminder that animal cruelty can continue when the people who have the power to intervene choose to look the other way.
Thankfully, Bonnie didn’t.
She saw an animal in danger and refused to ignore him. Because she stepped forward, Clyde was removed from that situation and given the opportunity to be safe.
Clyde’s story reminds us that speaking up matters. When we see cruelty, neglect, or an animal in danger, we have a responsibility to say something—and to keep speaking until someone listens. Every animal deserves someone willing to stand up for them.
