Helen was rescued by a good samaritan in Waianae. When Helen was found she had abscesses on both eyes and was critically malnourished. We had both abscesses removed, but unfortunately she lost vision in both eyes. When we received her she weighed less than 500 grams. Helen now lives a very happy life and weighs over 1500 grams. She is a spoiled henny girl! Helen recently got a sister, Annie, who is also blind.
