Happy fell victim to cruelty at the hands of youth boys, leaving him with a severely scalped comb, a poorly scalped wattle, and broken legs.

Despite everything he has endured, Happy is still fighting to heal. Today, he is safe at Trooper’s Chicken Rescue, where he is receiving the care, patience, and love he needs.

His physical wounds are healing, but Happy is also learning something just as important—that he can trust again, that he is safe, and that life can be peaceful.

Happy still has a journey ahead of him, but for the first time, he gets to take that journey surrounded by people who care.
