Peggy’s life changed when a Good Samaritan spotted her frantically dodging cars and people in the parking lot of Malama Market in Makakilo. She was vulnerable, frightened, and trying desperately to navigate a dangerous place on her own.
Thankfully, someone noticed her and reached out for help. Trooper’s Chicken Rescue stepped in and brought Peggy to safety, where her injured and amputated foot could finally be cleaned, treated, and cared for.
Today, Peggy is living the life she deserves—a safe, happy, and healthy life surrounded by other rescued chickens and birds with their own stories of survival. And along the way, she found a very special friend: Hoppy, a one-legged rooster who seems to understand her better than anyone.
Peggy’s story is a beautiful example of how one Good Samaritan speaking up can change an animal’s entire future. From dodging traffic in a parking lot to finding safety, friendship, and a place to call home, Peggy is finally exactly where she belongs.
