Meet Pita, a beautiful golden hen whose life changed when a Good Samaritan in Mililani realized she was no longer safe in the environment she called home.

Pita was a well-cared-for feral hen who had a local caretaker looking out for her. When circumstances changed and it became too dangerous for Pita to remain where she was, her caretaker reached out to Trooper’s Chicken Rescue for help.

TCR stepped in to give Pita a safe place to land.

Sometimes rescue isn’t about finding an animal who has been abandoned—it’s about recognizing when an animal is no longer safe and having the compassion to find them somewhere better.

Today, Pita can leave the dangers of her old environment behind and enjoy the safety, care, and companionship she deserves.
