Rocky’s life began in a place no animal should ever have to endure. He was rescued after escaping a cockfighting ring where he had spent his entire life. His comb and wattle had been cut off, his leg was broken, and he was suffering from a massive infection. Weak, frightened, and badly injured, Rocky had endured more pain than any animal should ever experience.

But everything changed the moment he was rescued.

On his very first day of freedom, Rocky was finally able to experience what it meant to be safe. He spent the night wrapped in a warm blanket with his rehabber, watching movies and enjoying snacks. There was no fighting. No fear. No pain. No need to struggle just to survive.

That night, Rocky discovered something he had never known before: peace. For the first time, he could rest without fear, wake up without having to fight, and enjoy the simple comforts of being cared for. His past may have shaped him, but it no longer defines him. Rocky was finally free to begin a new chapter—one filled with safety, kindness, and the chance to simply enjoy being a rooster.
