Sam was a sick and vulnerable rooster when a Good Samaritan found him at Schofield Barracks and brought him to Trooper’s Chicken Rescue for help. Sadly, Sam had lost one of his eyes due to eye worms and was suffering from other medical issues.
With compassionate care, rehabilitation, and plenty of love, Sam began his journey toward recovery. Today, he may be a little different, but that doesn’t stop him from living life to the fullest. Sam now enjoys a safe, happy life surrounded by other special-needs hens and roosters at Trooper’s Chicken Rescue.
His story is a beautiful reminder that every chicken deserves a chance—not just to survive, but to heal, feel safe, and experience a happy life.
